50 Cent Is Considering Legal Action After NYPD Commander Allegedly Told Officers to Shoot Him on Sight
Last spring, NYPD deputy inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez allegedly made a comment that if his officers see 50 Cent they should "shoot him on sight" at a police-sanctioned boxing event in Brooklyn. Now, 50 Cent says he's exploring his legal options.

According to the New York Daily News, a source at the event's roll call claimed that Gonzalez made the statement and later passed it off as a joke at the time.

A spokesperson for 50 Cent told People that he's now considering legal action.

"Mr. Jackson takes this threat very seriously and is consulting with his legal counsel regarding his options going forward," the statement reads. "He is concerned that he was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD and even more concerned that Gonzalez continues to carry a badge and a gun."

NYPD detective Martin Brown said, "The incident is under internal review."

50 Cent also tweeted about the incident, which you can read below.
