Pete Davidson's Judd Apatow Movie Is Going Straight to VOD
Pete Davidson's road to superstardom has included plenty of tabloid moments, a stand-up special and, lest we forget, a regular gig on Saturday Night Live. The next big piece of the puzzle is his film collaboration with Judd Apatow, which was set to hit theatres this summer. Rather than postpone, the film will be a home release.

Called The King of Staten Island, the movie was set to arrive on June 19. Now, instead of hitting cinemas it will be a video-on-demand release that comes out on June 12.

The film, which was directed by Apatow, stars Davidson as an exaggerated version of himself. He's a stoner who lives in Staten Island and has been struggling to grow up since his firefighter dad died when he was 7.

The film also stars Marisa Tomei, Maude Apatow, Ricky Velez, Moises Arias, Lou Wilson, Bel Powley, Bill Burr, Steve Buscemi and Pamela Adlon.

Judd and Pete announced the film's new release plan via video, which can be viewed below.
